Minneapolis: Dr. Goodall Keynote Lecture

Dr. Goodall will present "A Reason for Hope" in a keynote lecture at Beth El Synagogue near Minneapolis, MN. The event is co-sponsored by the Minnesota Zoo.
Dr. Goodall will speak about her work in the Gombe Stream National Park in Tanzania, where nearly 50 years ago, she began studying our closest relative – the chimpanzee. This work continues today, under a team of dedicated scientists and field staff. Dr. Goodall also will talk about the programs that have evolved to conserve the precious forest habitat around Gombe and to improve the lives of those in surrounding villages.
She will speak about t Jane Goodall's Roots & Shoots, a humanitarian and environmental education program that she created in 1991. Now in more than 100 countries, Roots & Shoots gives young people the tools to make a positive difference. As a UN Messenger of Peace, Dr. Goodall will share her reasons for hope in these complex times and offer ways in which each of us can make a difference, every day.
Dr. Goodall will sign books following the lecture. Please note that Jane’s books as well as JGI merchandise and memberships will be available for purchase.
