FAQs

What is the JGI Speakers Bureau?
The bureau is a group of JGI staff and volunteers who are interested in sharing their knowledge and expertise with various organizations. You can view a list of speakers here or access a directory of topics here. Please feel free to call us to discuss your interest in a speaker.

Who can request speakers?
Professional, community and civic organizations as well as schools are welcome to request a speaker.

How much lead time is needed to book a speaker?
You should submit your request at least four months in advance of the event date.

Are there any costs involved?
The requesting organization pays for air and ground transportation, meals and lodging. There is also an honorarium that varies by speaker and type of event. Honorariums are negotiated with our Communications Department. (Remit travel reimbursement and honorarium to the Jane Goodall Institute, 4245 North Fairfax Drive, Suite 600, Arlington, VA 22203.)

How do I request a speaker?
Please call our Communications Department to arrange a speaker, (703) 682-9220. If you would like to discuss options, feel free to call our VP of Communications, Nona Gandelman at the above number. We will work with you on the details and logistics of your event, including, but not limited to, acceptance of our appearance guidelines and completion of a contract.

I still have questions. Whom should I contact?
Please contact Nona Gandelman, VP of Communications, at ngandelman@janegoodall.org or (703) 682-9220.
