Through the Youth Leadership Initiative, the Jane Goodall Institute invests in individual youth to develop leadership skills and to provide unique opportunities to participate in global events. Program participants create initiatives, plan events, lead workshops, exhibit original art and represent the program at high-level speaking engagements. Our Youth Leaders use their training to inspire young people around the world to take action in support of the issues they are passionate about.

Jane Goodall Global Youth Summit
One hundred of the world's most outstanding young people were invited to join Dr. Jane Goodall from April 19-25, 2008, at Walt Disney World® in Orlando, Florida, USA for a week-long exploration of how each individual can make a difference in protecting the future of our planet. Attendees returned home with a solid year-long plan of action and since then have implemented many projects in their local communities and abroad.  Read more here.
